It
has been a busy 2 weeks here in the parish. We have just completed the 2015
Marriage Preparation Course this weekend. Congratulations to all of our couples
who completed the course. It was a great pleasure working with you all these
past 2 weekends. I look forward to celebrating your wedding with you!
Many
people in the parish make this course happen every year and I would like to
thank each group for their dedication to these young people preparing for
marriage. Thanks to our marriage prep coordinators and facilitators, Bret
and Claudia Langil and Johnny and Liz Rodrigues. Many thanks to Pat Hyland, our
parish accountant, for cooking our lunch on both weekends. The food was great
and enjoyed by all. Thanks to our new Hospitality Committee, under the
direction of Monica Parlette, and comprising the members of our seniors
group who meet on Tuesdays for cards and fellowship. Thank-you for all your
help in serving our couples. It is great to have you on board!!! Thanks to
Ellen and Richard Kolwich and Fatima Amaral for helping ahead of time to
prepare the food and the kitchen. Thanks to Gloria, our parish secretary, for
preparing the certificates, and Michael Caborubias, our parish custodian, for
the hall set - up. The marriage preparation course is one of the major events
every year at St. Dominic and is mandated by the Archdiocese before a wedding
takes place. Thanks to all of you for another successful event. Once again,
congratulations to all our couples and we promise to pray for you as you
approach this most important day in your lives.
