I would like to thank St. Dominic Social
Committee for hosting a fine pasta dinner last Saturday night. Many thanks to
Joe Vetro for his great music, as always.
I understand that his son Harry and his own band made their first
appearance at St. Dominic. Hopefully it will not be the last as I heard only
great things about their performance. Once again, like the concert last fall, I
was unable to be there. I am very disappointed that I missed the event but
present circumstances did not permit.
I should inform you that I am facing some health
issues and have been going back and forth to Trillium Hospital for tests for
the past couple of weeks – the time when I was supposed to be on vacation. The
end result of all the tests is that I need to undergo 2 individual surgeries to
correct several existing blockages. Fr.
Ernest Munachi Ezeogu, a Holy Ghost Father from Nigeria, will be arriving on
February 28th and will be living in, until I return after recovery.
I am unsure at this point as to when that will be but I know you will welcome
him and make his time at St. Dominic a pleasant one. Fr. Milton will help out while Fr. Noel is in
Ireland and on a regular basis thereafter.
As I am able, I will update you as to my progress. Please keep me in
your prayers. The power of prayer is
simply awesome.
I trust that you will have a fruitful and
prayerful Lenten Season in preparation for the celebration of Easter.
I am looking forward to being back with you soon.
Fr.
Phil
