Well our first annual
Harvest Bazaar was a great success! There are so many people to thank, that to
try and name them, I would leave someone out for sure. Many parishioners were so generous in baking,
pickling, preserving and donating everything for penny social prizes, grandma’s
attic gently used items, gift certificates and the amazing main raffle prizes.
Thanks to our students from St. Paul who helped with set-up, take-down and on
the day. A big thank-you to our school students at St. Dominic School and Queen
of Heaven School for their Fall artwork! Thanks to everyone who was able to
attend and support this event. The preparation work behind the scenes was
enormous but without people who attend, all this work would be in vain. I know
the children enjoyed their fish pond and their prizes too. Many thanks to the members of the bazaar
committee: Gloria Noronha, Pat Hyland, Celia Alonso, Bernadette O’Connor and
Brigitte Daniel, who put this all together and have been meeting since last
June to ensure an enjoyable day. An event like this one brings people together
both within the community and from outside. This is really what it is about.
The funds raised are important too but only if we had a great time raising
them. Congratulations to our winners of the piggy bank money guess, the penny
social prizes and our main raffle draw prizes.
We will publish the names in an upcoming bulletin. Again, many thanks to
all!!
I wish you all a
great week.
