Twenty - Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

I hope you all had a happy and restful thanksgiving long weekend. Once again, many thanks to Grace Manicone for the beautiful thanksgiving display in the sanctuary. Our thanksgiving dinner, in conjunction with The Compass Food Bank, was very successful last Sunday. I would like to thank all those who donated money, food and their time to make that happen. It was very rewarding for all our volunteers and by all accounts, our guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner too. We also had many children and young people helping throughout the day and they all did a fantastic job, not only serving and helping, but socializing with our guests and making them feel at home. I was very impressed with our young people and their willingness to greet and serve our guests. Perhaps this could be an annual event? I hope so.

On behalf of our St. Vincent de Paul Society, I would like to thank St. Dominic Catholic Elementary School and St. Paul Catholic Secondary School for their donations of food for distribution by the St. Vincent de Paul Society in our parish. Our food storage room is full to the brim! Thank-you!

Please remember the Halloween party sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on October 28th after the 5 pm Mass. All our families are welcome to attend. Tickets are on sale this weekend after all Masses and from the office during the week.

Feasts of All Saints and All Souls – Please note: Wednesday November 1st Mass at 9:15 am and 7:30 pm. Thursday November 2nd – Mass at 7:30 pm

CONFIRMATION – Confirmation registration for all grade 7 students will be in January 2018. As soon as the date is determined, I will publish it here.

I wish you all a good week!
