CONCERT NEWS
Once again, we are gearing up for another concert here at St. Dominic.
This event will be held on Monday, November 24th at 7:30 PM. Tickets
are on sale at the back of the church on weekends and from the office during
the week. Please mark your calendars and purchase your tickets early as this
event sells out very quickly. All tickets are $25.00.
CHRISTMAS GIVING PROGRAM
The program, this year, is by gift cards only. Please take one, or more,
of the ornaments from the tree with the store name and amount that you can
donate to a family. We have approximately 100 families to be helped this year.
You will be asked to return the gift cards on December 13 to a
member of St. Vincent de Paul in the hall. Then please join us for coffee/tea
and Christmas treats. As always, I thank you for your generosity.
ADVENT 2014
The wonderful season of Advent begins on the weekend of November 29/30,
2014. As is our tradition, parish families will be invited to light the candles
of the Advent Wreath. Please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the
vestibule and print your name and phone number clearly on the form. Also,
please remember which Mass you have signed up for and sit close to the front on
that particular Sunday. Again this year, I will distribute a short prayer for
every day during Advent, the Fridge Prayers. Beginning on December 17th,
the ‘O’ Antiphons will be distributed for your prayer consideration in the
final days of Advent leading up to Christmas.
SERRA CLUB ALTAR SERVER AWARDS
Congratulations to our Altar Servers who received their Serra Club award
for altar serving this weekend: Jesse and Elliot Rodrigues, Caleigh Chambers,
Erika Naval and Farrell Gonsalves. I really appreciate your faithful service at
the altar. Please encourage other young people to join this ministry!
