Today’s bulletin is the last one until September. I regret that I have been away for so long. Originally, this was to be 2 simple operations to open arteries in my legs, one 5 day stay and the other, day surgery. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. So many complications have kept me coming back to hospital for various lengths of time. I have missed you all more than you know and I look forward to my return soon. It looks like I will be back around September 1st. I am hoping for an earlier return date. I wish you every blessing for a safe and happy summer and I thank all of you for carrying on parish events, liturgies and celebrations in my absence.
Father's Day Prayer
God our Father,
in your wisdom and love you made all things.
Bless our Fathers
that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters,
may honor them always
with a spirit of love and respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

In honour of Father’s Day, I would like to wish all our fathers every blessing.
Happy Father’s Day!!
Graduation: I would like to congratulate all of our graduates from St. Dominic, Queen of Heaven, St. Edmond and St. Paul. I have not really had the opportunity to get to know you this year but I wish you well, where ever you may be going to places of higher learning, high school, university or college. Please know that you are always in our prayers and welcome at St. Dominic parish. I also challenge you to join one of our ministries. Also, please think about our Youth Ministry Group which will continue in September. Once again, congrats on your current endeavours and God’s blessings in the future.
A note about my journey: Today is June 12 and I am still in hospital. There are no prospects of me leaving anytime soon, according to the doctor. Another vac is to be installed today or tomorrow on my left side since there is a worse infection there than there ever was on my right. I was told yesterday that I will be on antibiotics via intravenous for about 4 – 6 weeks. At this point, they are unsure if I have to stay in the hospital for this or I can leave and have this done at home. In any case, I am walking well now and just waiting for my infections to clear. I am hoping to be back with you by September 1st. I will keep you posted as best as I am able over the summer months.
