I would like to take this opportunity to
congratulate our parish cook, Assunta
Celeste, our parish catechist, Beverly
O’Grady and our Parish Social Ministry co-ordinator, Beverly Carpenter. All three of these staff members received an
award from the Archdiocese on April 30, for 10 plus years of service here at
St. Dominic. I thank them for their commitment and dedication to the parish.
Please remember to get your tickets for our
Foods of the World extravaganza next Saturday evening, May 12. This promises to
be a great culinary experience with food from 7 different countries, including
our new country, Latin America!
Thank-you to all our Confirmation facilitators
who helped with our retreat day, last Saturday.
Our Confirmation class of 2012 will receive the Sacrament on the weekend
of May 26-27. We are grateful to our retreat master, Mrs. Debbie Sheldrake, for
leading our students in a great day of prayer and reflection.
Let us congratulate all those who have made
their First Holy Communion this weekend.
