As the last days of
Summer approach, I hope that you have had a chance to rest and relax, if even
for a short time. As we begin a new
School year, I wish our students and teachers a productive and fruitful year. I am looking forward to my first experience
of the ministry fair here at St. Dominic.
Thanks to all those who were able to attend the meeting last Wednesday
evening. I am sure that our welcome back
reception and ministry fair will be a success.
Please pray and think about signing up for one of our ministry programs
after any mass on September 17th or 18th.
As you know Aloysius Cardinal
Ambrozic passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011. Let us pray for the repose of his soul. We will
celebrate a Mass for the Cardinal on Tuesday, September 13th
at 7:00 pm.

Sunday resumes September 11th after the 10:00 am Mass; Registration dates for students receiving
Sacraments and taking religious education classes here will be announced
soon. Children’s Liturgy begins at the
5:00 pm Mass on September 24th;
Octoberfest is on Saturday, October 22 at 6:30 pm; Youth Group harvest/Halloween bake sale is
October 29/30 after all Masses; Annual
Christmas Bazaar is November 5th at 9:00 am; Fr. Phil’s Road beef dinner fundraiser
November 26th at 6:30. I hope
this list is helpful in giving you a preview of upcoming social events.
