Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

DATES TO REMEMBER

Ø  ANNUAL HARVEST BAZAAR – September 30 from 9 am – 3 pm
Breakfast, lunch and tea room service will be available. There will be Fr. Phil’s dinners to go with soups, roast beef with gravy, pasta and sauce. Also on hand will be homemade pies and baked goods, rum cakes, a variety of homemade jams and a great selection of homemade breads will be available too. Children under 12 years will enjoy our special craft table too! I am looking forward to making this event a great success since all monies raised will go directly to St. Dominic parish. Come out and support our parish, have a great time and enjoy some fellowship with parishioners over breakfast and lunch. Sign-up sheets are available for you to sign for help on the day or for baking. Many thanks to those who have already signed up!!
Ø  CONFIRMATION 2018
The sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Boissonneau on the weekend of May 26 and 27, 2018. There will be 4 Masses: Saturday evening at 5pm and Sunday at 9:30 am, 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Registration will begin in January 2018. Please direct any questions regarding Confirmation to me via email: pjones@stdominicschurch.ca as I am the director of the program. Marie Jansa will be the program coordinator again this year. Thank-you Marie!
Ø  RECONCILIATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Our parish catechist, Bev O’Grady, has included all the preparation dates and Sacrament dates on our parish website. Please refer to our website at St. Dominic’s Church Mississauga.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY – I am looking for more volunteers for our Children’s Liturgy Program. If you would prefer not to teach, you may also just be a parent volunteer in the room supervising, while the teacher runs the program. A police check is required and is now available online and free of charge. Please consider this as we need 2 adults in the room at all times.
Wishing you all a great week.

Fr. Phil
