VOLUNTEERS NEEDED SOONER THAN LATER

I need volunteers for the following:

First Confession and First Communion Meetings –.  I need people to prepare the refreshments at all meetings. The ideal situation is to have a team who could take turns, making the work easier for all. Many thanks to our new volunteer. We still need 3 or 4 more.

Confirmation – I am looking for a confirmation coordinator who can oversee the program. I also need help with registration in Jan. 2017 and facilitators who can help at 4 classes, taking our students through the confirmation manual, Anointed for Mission.
Please call me or email me at pjones@stdominicschurch.ca

THE PARABLE THIS SUNDAY

This parable presents both an opportunity and a warning. Pride leads to self-deception and spiritual blindness. True humility helps us to see ourselves as we really are in God's eyes and it inclines us to seek God's help and mercy. God dwells with the humble of heart who recognize their own sinfulness and who acknowledge God's mercy and saving grace.. God cannot hear us if we boast in ourselves and despise others. Do we humbly seek God's mercy and do we show mercy to others, especially those we find difficult to love and to forgive? A great question for us to ponder.

I wish you all a good week,
